Author’s note: Look, no porn! Ok, so this doesn't really fit the brief, it was done in well under two hours but I was going to do something porny and fun, but it didn’t turn out that way. I shall have to pick a different prompt and try again! This now has a companion piece from James's pov in Look at You.

Kiss Him

Look at him, sleeping there. So peaceful, so beautiful in slumber – all hints of wickedness are gone from his face, he is perfect innocence once more, despite the new muggle piercing marring his nice, plump lip.

Look at him, unsuspecting. The world moves on past him, rather than revolving around him as he likes to believe. All must fall at the feet of the great Sirius Black and worship him, how could they not? How could you not? You do, of course you do, don’t tell me otherwise, my love, I won't believe you.

How do you tell him you’re leaving? You tried earlier tonight, yet still you ended in his bed again. Surely he knows, in his heart of hearts, that you always loved me? Your destiny lies with me, not him. Of course you love him too, but it is not the same; you are the other half of my soul, he is merely a distraction. He knows about me just as I know about him, but does he even care?

Why did he have to go after you? Why? Remus hangs on his every word, I see the way he looks at the two of you in envy, wishing he were part of the duo. But it’s more than that, Remus would fall into Sirius’s bed at the drop of a hat, perhaps that is the problem, where would be the fun for Sirius in such an easy conquest? Much more fun to go after someone he cannot have. How hard must Remus find it – to be like a moth, so close to the warmth, but never quite part of the flame, and like a moth, he would burn to a crisp if he ever got too close to the fire of Sirius Black.

I cannot let this go on, my love. You need to end this affair for your sake as much as mine – Sirius must destroy everything he touches, it is in his nature to do so just as it is in yours to win. He will burn you out and move on to the next challenge, and where will that leave us? You and me and the child growing within me?

Marry me, James. Sirius will move on, you and he will continue as friends, maybe he’ll even give Lupin a chance – perhaps the werewolf in Remus will tame the beast in Sirius (what, did you think I didn’t know? Honestly, James, I’ve known since third year). Could they be happy, just like us, or would all end in disaster? I think I like Remus too much to wish Sirius on him though, he’d be better off with someone quiet like Peter, except Peter has no interest in men that way. But then, I never thought you did either, so what do I know.

Kiss him goodbye. Come back to bed. I gave you your one last night together, I let him do things to you that I could never do, I let him screw you, hard and fast against the wall, I even let him make love to you later, in his bed, slow and sweet. I could almost believe he loved you; if he could ever love anyone but himself.

Kiss him goodbye, James, it’s time to grow up.
